Description
The Cameron Twins are a London-based collaborative artist duo of identical twins. Working in a range of different media including screen print, digital montage, photography, casting, sculpture and installation - the print process they are known for is a very important element of the artist’s practice. Allowing them to explore the idea of repetition, doubling and mirroring, which relates directly to their personal experience as twins, the process itself can often create a strange unsettling quality.
Milestones in The Cameron Twins’ career to date include; GQ MOTY 2024, collaborations with Leonardo Di Caprios sneaker brand ‘Løci’, Bang & Olufsen and two Michelin star chef Tom Kerridge, whilst selling at Bonham’s alongside JeanMichel Basquiat, Damien Hirst and Tracey Emin, The Twins work is collected by the likes of Barry Keoghan, Sabrina Carpenter, Emma Stone and Greta Gerwig and they have completely sold out domestic and international exhibitions and solo shows in their first years in the industry.
‘HOOPLA’
The recent acclaimed development of Battersea Power Station from a decommissioned energy facility into a world-class shopping destination allowed for a reimagining of a British landscape icon like never before.
At least until now...
‘HOOPLA’ consists of playful repurposing of nostalgic imagery and subjects. This modern remix is contrasted with a fairly traditional creative process - in this case the artists realising their vision via hand-painting, hand-screen
printing and spray paint as they breathe new life into a building every Londoner may recognise as ‘one of our own’.
With their stunning trajectory, ‘HOOPLA’ promises to be an important part of the jigsaw in The Cameron Twins’ journey and we are delighted they have created this unique one off original artwork on wooden panel exclusively for The Anderson Foundation.
