Description
Lochlane and Laggan fishings offer some of the very best fly fishing to be found on the River Earn. Although part of the Tay system, it is smaller than the giant River Tay and as such is a lovely manageable size. The river drops quite a bit in height throughout its length which gives rise to wonderful streams, runs and glides. The Lochlane and Laggan fishings contain 32 named pools and comprise 2.1 miles double bank and 0.32 miles single bank, fished over 4 beats (3 rods per beat) in a daily rotation. The fishings are located upstream of Crieff in the picturesque Strathearn Valley. October fishing on Lochlane and Laggan is generally considered prime time.
