1 x Carl Hansen Wishbone Chair CH24 - beech/natural cord seat RRP £481

Designed by Hans J Wegner. The very first model Hans J. Wegner designed exclusively for Carl Hansen & Søn in 1949, the CH24 (or Wishbone) Chair, has been in continuous production since its introduction in 1950. It remains the most recognisable chair that we display.

For 2022, the chair is once again available in FSC-certified Teak with an oiled finish, as shown in our main, 'hero' image.

A light, attractive and comfortable dining chair with the characteristic Y-shaped back, which provides back support and stability to the steam-bent top and also inspired the chair's name.

Despite the chair's straightforward appearance it takes more than 100 steps to make one. Amongst other things, the hand-woven seat consists of more than 120 metres of paper cord.
