Step into the heart of Lincolnshire’s wilderness for an unforgettable day on the marsh with one of the country’s most respected wildfowling clubs. This is your chance to join the Spalding & District Wildfowlers Association (SDWA) for a unique experience out on the iconic Wash estuary, renowned for its wild beauty, rich birdlife, and timeless traditions.
As the first light breaks over the tidal flats, you’ll witness a sunrise like no other, a stunning palette of colour reflecting across vast skies and water, with the haunting calls of wildfowl overhead. It's a raw, peaceful, and exhilarating moment, etched in the memory of every wildfowler.
Your host will guide you through a morning on the marsh, sharing generations of knowledge about the land, the birds, and the respectful, sustainable pursuit of wildfowling. Please note, this is truly wild sport - there is no guarantee of a shot, only the promise of a real adventure.
IMPORTANT REQUIREMENTS:
- You must have valid BASC insurance - no other form is accepted.
- You must hold a valid UK shotgun certificate.
- You must bring your own suitable gun and steel ammunition.
Expect cold, wet, and muddy conditions—this is not for the faint-hearted. But for those who value tradition, nature, and the magic of a marsh at dawn, this will be a prize you’ll never forget.
