Description
A tour of the spectacular Grosvenor's Abbeystead Estate and an evening guided stalk for roe buck.
The very special auction lot is for one person and a guest, you will:
- Received a guided tour from the Estate Management Team on conversation work including wetlands, hay meadows restoration, and tree planting as well as the hedgerows, buffers and rivers. All of which support biodiversity and species conservation of national significance.
- Drive across the famous Bowland Fells where you will see first hand the principles of upland management and understand the modern challenges the environment faces.
- Stop for a tailgate picnic of local produce.
- Zero in your rifle on the range before heading out with one of their Keepers on an exciting 'walk and stalk' thorugh the valley's ancient woodlands. With any luck you will become one of the select few who are able to place an Abbeystead gamecard on your mantle piece.
- They suggest you round the evening off by booking yourself in to stay at the famous Inn at Whitewell, a short but spectacular drive from the Estate, please note this is not included in the lot.
T&C's:
- Must be taken before the 31st August 2024, giving no less than two weeks notice
- 1 x Roe buck of any standard
- Trophy preparation included
- Carcass not included but can be on request for a fee (either skin on or butchered by local game dealer)
- Must provide own rifle and insurance
- Transport around Estate is provided, local transfer can be arranged upon request
- Guest may only attend stalk at the discretion of the Keeper
- Tips not included
