This is a charming, 200+ year-old, detached, stone-built Normandy cottage, with traditional oak beams, set in a half-acre field, with ample parking space.   The cottage was renovated in 2004, and sits in a peaceful and secluded hamlet, eight kilometres from the nearest town of Mortree. Comfortably furnished and centrally heated, it consists of a living room with a wood-burning fireplace, A T.V./DVD player, broadband/ WIFI, an integrated large kitchen/dining room, downstairs w.c. a stone staircase to the first floor, which has three bedrooms and a bathroom with w.c. The bedroom accommodation comprises two double-bedded rooms (one with en-suite shower room), and one twin-bedded room.   

The kitchen is fully equipped with cooker, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, fridge/freezer etc.

The cottage is in a quiet, rural area, with a variety of good restaurants close by, and is a one hour drive from the port of Caen and the Normandy beaches.   Paris is two hours by train.  

Ideally situated for country walks, visits to local chateaux, horse-riding (with a nearby reliable riding centre for all standards), cycling, visiting local markets, and close to the medieval towns of Sees, Falaise and the spa town of Bagnoles de L’Orne.   Swimming and tennis facilities are within a 15 kilometre radius.
