Lineout session with England hooker, Amy Cokayne

Amy Cokayne nearly started her international playing career in New Zealand after she emigrated there with her family at the age of nine. She played rugby at Lichfield from age six and her New Zealand school side, Feilding High School went on to win 53 consecutive games under Amy’s captaincy. Amy scored her maiden senior try against Canada in the 2015 Rugby Super Series, and played in every game at her first Women's Rugby World Cup in 2017. Five tries during the 2017 Six Nations made her the second highest try-scorer in the tournament. She took time away from rugby to complete her Royal Air Force training and combines her international duties with her career. In September 2019 she was awarded a full-time England contract and went on to be an integral figure in the squad that made the final of the delayed 2021 Rugby World Cup. Amy was named in Simon Middleton’s squad for the 2023 TikTok Women’s Six Nations and later in the Red Roses squad for the inaugural WXV tournament in New Zealand.
