Description
Harlequins RFC has offered the opportunity for 4 people to watch a women's training session at their training centre, Surrey Sports Park, Guildford, have lunch with the squad with photo opportunities.
Harlequins have confirmed their Women’s squad for the 2023/24 season. The squad will compete in the new Allianz Premiership Women’s Rugby (PWR) competition, as well as the Allianz Cup which began in September. The squad has been bolstered by the arrival of international signings Connie Powell, Abbie Fleming, Aseza Hele, Danelle Lochner and Silvia Turani, who return to domestic action for Quins following last month’s WXV tournament. Elsewhere, Quins have strengthened their ranks with the arrival of exciting young fly-half Ella Cromack and scrum-half Flo Robinson who joins her sister Emily in South West London. Over the summer former Quins Shaunagh Brown and Jade Mullen both rejoined the Club, with Brown coming out of retirement to return to rugby. Harlequins’ pathway continues to develop more exciting prospects, as seven players graduated from the Club’s Centre of Excellence into the senior squad, with Phoebe Wheadon, Tyla Shirley and Freya Bell already making their debuts during the Allianz Cup. Harlequins Head Coach Amy Turner commented: “We’ve worked hard over the summer to recruit players in a number of key areas and we’re really happy with the squad we’ve put together. “We were really proud of how we developed across the Allianz Cup, with standout wins against Saracens away and Trailfinders at The Stoop. As we enter this next block with the PWR, we’re keen to start strong and build momentum into three huge home games next month.” Harlequins begin their Allianz PWR campaign on Saturday away to Trailfinders Women, followed by a trip to Heywood Road to face Sale Sharks Women. December sees three back-to-back home fixtures against Saracens, Exeter Chiefs and finally Gloucester-Hartpury in Big Game 15.
