From the moment we welcomed our first stray dog in 1860 we have been placing our animals at the centre of everything we do. More than three million animals later, we're still working hard to achieve our vision that every dog and cat should live in a place where they are treated with love, care, and respect.

Battersea aims to never turn away a dog or cat in need of help, caring for them until their owners or loving new homes can be found, no matter how long it takes. We are champions for, and supporters of, vulnerable dogs and cats, determined to create lasting changes for animals in our society.
