Each and every animal that comes through Battersea’s gates is given the loving care and medical attention they need to lead a happy and healthy life with their new owners. Increasingly we’re seeing animals that have complex medical issues that need the skills and expertise of our incredible veterinary team.
Last year alone, they performed 4,000 operations, including highly specialised airways surgeries to help flat-faced dogs breathe better. We are the only rescue centre in the country with the facilities and expertise to be able to carry this out. Meet Shaun, our Veterinary Director – who you’ll recognise from ‘Paul O’Grady’s For the Love of Dogs’ - and see the team in action, getting our most vulnerable animals back on all four paws.
You will also have the opportunity to have lunch at Battersea's Tealby Cafe with some of the team and hear the inspiring stories of the animals we care for.
