Visas  

A reminder that visas on arrival in Ghana will no longer be available after 15 January 2024, we therefore request all passport holders to please check their arrival requirements. Note that this also applies to those travelling from both the US and UK

Anyone entering Ghana must have a valid entry visa. Please contact your local embassy for further information on your nationality’s requirements for entering Ghana, ensuring to do so as soon as you have registered to avoid any last minute worries.  

Commonwealth nationals must have an entry permit issued by: 

•a Ghana diplomatic mission
•a Ghana consulate abroad  
•or any other authority who has been mandated by the Ghana Government to act on its behalf. 

Anyone from another country with which the Ghana Government has specific bilateral agreements are exempted, as are ECOWAS nationals.

In order to apply for a Ghana entry visa:
•Applicants should be legally resident in the country where Ghana’s Mission is sited
•Applicant’s passport photographs should have been taken not more than three months prior to the date of submission.Applicant should attach a copy of a return ticket or print-out of travel itinerary
•An international certificate  of vaccination  for Yellow Fever
•Applicant’s  passport  must  have  validity  of at least six (6) months

Vaccinations / Health
All travelers coming into Ghana are required to have been vaccinated against Yellow Fever at least 10 days before their proposed date of departure and if already vaccinated, travelers must provide proof.

It is also recommended that travelers going to Ghana take prescription medicine to prevent malaria. Please consult with your medical care providers and visit the World Health Organization for additional information.

COVID-19 Health & Safety Advisory
It is strongly encouraged that all attendees ensure they are up to date with their latest COVID-19 vaccinations, as defined by the World Health Organization and / or your local Health Authority. You are very welcome to wear a mask if you feel comfortable to do so although this is not a GSF requirement.
