Sometimes known as a doctor’s or physician’s bag, the original design has been perfected over time. Named after Prime Minister William Gladstone, these hinged holdalls accompanied him on many overseas trips, and became synonymous with British class and refinery.

Master Craftsman, Owner and Director, Simon Harvey Potts’s journey with Mackenzie Leather began when he was given a grant from The Prince’s Trust Scotland to fund the tools he needed for running his own leather workshops for young people, which he began alongside continuing to produce and sell his own name leather goods. The rest as they say is history and the brand has gone from strength to strength.


Prize is collection only. Prize will be available to collect from Prestonfield until Saturday 9th September 2023 at from 10am- 12 midday, after which time the prize will be available to collect from UBS Offices (1 St Andrew Square, EH2 2BD) for up to one month after the event.
