About
Frans studied Biology at the University of Wageningen (The Netherlands) hence his fascination for the natural world and its wildlife. As an artist, his motto is: ‘I am life that wants to express life’. Normally his painting medium of choice is watercolour, a medium that has a mind of its own (especially when used on wet paper) creating effects that add to the liveliness of a painting.
“The idea behind ‘Echinacea, Dewdrops and Ladybirds’ is that the Echinacea is a health-giving plant, the dew drops are formed at the beginning of a new day, and the ladybirds are not only one of our most loved insects but are introduced into our lives at an early age. This Egg therefore expresses ‘New Beginnings’. New beginnings are at the heart of the NEST project.”

All eggs must be collected in person if possible from Chichester Festival Theatre, or can be hand delivered if you live within a 50 mile radius.
