Annoushka Ducas MBE, the British designer behind Annoushka, established her eponymous jewellery brand in London in 2009 after the successful sale of 'Links of London.' With a background in French language and civilization from the Sorbonne, Annoushka's journey began in Hong Kong in the late eighties, where she collaborated with local artisans to create jewellery for herself and her circle of friends.

Annoushka designs jewellery that mirrors her personal taste — comfortable, versatile, and rich with narrative. Her pieces are a reflection of her love for colour and experimentation, encouraging wearers to infuse their everyday wardrobe with glamour. Her design process is driven by curiosity and exploration, honed over three decades of collaboration with master craftsmen. Each piece, crafted from 18ct gold and precious or semiprecious stones, embodies freedom, fantasy, and sophistication.

Annoushka believes fine jewellery transcends occasions, offering versatility that complements both formal attire and casual wear. From the Duchess of Cambridge to Rihanna, her clientele spans across those who appreciate timeless elegance.

"It is very personal - I design what I like to wear. Jewellery should work hard for you, if I can't wear something in three different ways, I'm not interested."

Her philanthropic endeavours, such as founding The Brilliant Breakfast initiative for The Prince's Trust, underscore her dedication to empowering disadvantaged young women.

Annoushka resides in Chichester, Sussex, and London with her husband, John, and their four children. Beyond her professional achievements, her family and personal experiences shape her perspective and creative endeavours.

“My egg design is inspired by the Annoushka beetle jewellery collection, crafted from 18k gold and semi-precious stones. The rich colours and intricate patterns of these beetles, became the heart of my vision. Their resilient wings reminded me of the fragility and strength of an eggshell. The colours on my egg reflect the gemstones used in my beetles, while its smooth surface echoes their glossy exoskeletons. This design celebrates both nature's beauty and hidden strength, honouring the beetle's symbolic role as a guardian and bringer of fortune.”
