“Red, black watercolour and carved The inspiration for my egg was the colour pallet used by printmaker Deborah Richards and her daughter beautiful semi abstracted artworks of the South Downs (I grew up close by to Deborah, in the next hamlet beyond in Woolbeding) resonate with me. I started boldly with a black and red colour palette.
In my practice as an environmental artist, inspiration drawn from contemporary land artists James Brunt, Mark Ford and Jon Foreman (collaboration Magnus Somnia) I created a spiral, loosely flowing down the egg. I then carved into the egg pathways reminiscent of the gleaming chalk pathways spidering across the sloping hills of the Downs”.
Terms and Conditions:
All eggs must be collected in person if possible from Chichester Festival Theatre, or can be hand delivered if you live within a 50 mile radius.
