Title : Sea Egg
About
“I'm a Brighton based illustrator, working mainly in book illustration. Themes I tend to explore are the environment, feminism, and folklore. Most importantly, I want my work to tell a story.
Recent book projects include working with Little, Brown in the US, to illustrate Rooted by Lyanda Lynn Haupt, and with September Publishing to create illustrations for Sharon Blackie’s Foxfire, Wolfskin, and Other Tales of Shapeshifting Women. I’ve also done work for small presses such as Bad Betty Press and Cunning Folk.
My egg is a Sea Egg. You’re walking on the shore, barefoot. Glancing down, you see it, washed up, hidden amongst the seaweed. You reach down, pick it up. It’s smooth and strange. It seems to tell a story – a tale of shipwrecks, stormy journeys and deep-sea darkness… You take it home. Who knows if it will hatch. Who knows what lives inside it.”
Terms and Conditions:
All eggs must be collected in person if possible from Chichester Festival Theatre, or can be hand delivered if you live within a 50 mile radius.
