About
Monica Popham is a landscape artist from Gibraltar. She studied Fine Art at Loughborough University and graduated in 2021. Monica recently won Sky Arts ‘Landscape Artist of the Year 2024’ and has completed a commission for the London Science Museum on the renewable energy innovation happening in the Orkney Islands.
Monica’s main body of work focuses on the tangible quality of sunlight and shadows. She captures the synergy between light and architecture and plays with colour to exaggerate the intensity of the sunlight.
Her EGG depicts the shadows of washing being hung outside apartment windows, which is a staple in Mediterranean life and is inspired by her home country, Gibraltar.
Terms and Conditions:
All eggs must be collected in person if possible from Chichester Festival Theatre, or can be hand delivered if you live within a 50 mile radius.
