About
Victoria Rance is a multidisciplinary artist based at APT Studios in Deptford, London. She creates sculptures the viewer can identify or interact with, either physically or in the imagination. She records interactions with her sculptures using photography, film and animation.
She was the 2003 recipient of the Mark Tanner Sculpture Award, and has also received awards from Deptford X, European Cultural Foundation and Arts Council England. Her work was included in If Not Now When? Generations of Women in Sculpture 1960-2023, at The Hepworth Wakefield which toured to the Saatchi Gallery and finished earlier this year,
She is currently showing at New Art Centre Roche Court, and her work was at Sculpture at Goodwood (Cass Sculpture Park). Solo and two person exhibitions include Creek Dreams, Seager Gallery (2022); Otherworld, Cable Depot (2019); The Night Horse and The Holy Baboon, Cello Factory London (2017); I Wish, Deptford X (2015); The Sleep of Reason, BBK Osnabruck Germany (2013) and Medusa Stories, Chalabi Gallery, Istanbul (2012).
