Eloise trained at Charles Cecil art studios, Florence 1991, BA Hons in graphic design and illustration at Cambridge College of Art and Technology 1993. BA Hons Ceramics Harrow School of Art and SUNY New Paltz, NY 1999. Currently paints on commission and makes pots in between.

“This egg is a reflection on how I see the journey of Chichester Festival Theatre (CFT) to date – with this next venture being the incubator for more creativity and expression. It is incredibly exciting for all those involved and an honour to have been invited to contribute in some small way.

The illustrations are all inspired by shows staged at CFT over the years - except for Marvin‘s Binoculars – which is a ’heads up’ to our current Artistic Director, Justin Audibert! The Egg sits on a quote from Anton Chekov : ‘You should feel a flow of joy because you are alive. Your body will feel full of life. That is what you must give from the stage. Your life. No less. That is art. To give all you have’"

Dedication

"This egg is dedicated to my maternal great aunt Dora Byran (1923-2014). She was an engaging theatre, film and television actress and arguably one of the most talented comediennes of her generation. She was an energetic and ambitious woman whose blossoming career was often set back by a string of personal tragedies, heartbreaks and disappointments. Due to her tenacity, her deep faith, strength of character and passion for the stage, she bore it all and she persevered with joy. Chichester Festival Theatre held a special place in her heart an she performed here on many occasions between 1970 and 1997. I believe she would have championed the NEWT initiative and her advice would have been to never give up regardless of your circumstances."

All eggs must be collected in person if possible from Chichester Festival Theatre, or can be hand delivered if you live within a 50 mile radius.
