In 2012, Donald was awarded The Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee medal for his education outreach work in LA high schools for BAFTA and The Sovereigns Medal for Volunteers in 2018.
In 2022 he was made a member of the Order of Canada - the highest civilian honour in Canada established by the late Queen Elizabeth in 1967.
