In 2024, as fake news continues to shape public discourse, “The War of The Worlds” returned in a new production in partnership with the NYT REP Company. This iteration featured 18 of Britain’s most promising young performers and marked the National Youth Theatre’s return to Wilton’s Music Hall, following successful collaborations on “Zigger Zagger” and “Silence.”

The company has seen its former members go on to achieve remarkable success with graduates playing leading roles on stage and screen, including Lauren Lyle currently appearing in the title role in ITV's Karen Pirie and BAFTA nominated Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísù (His House, Gangs of London), both of whom are mentoring members of this year's current REP Company.
