Shooting for up to four guns at Bughtrig, in the Borders

The shoot at Bughtrig is a small family shoot, with a part time keeper and 3 prior days.  It is definitely not commercial. Our Keeper Mark and another would guide the party, taking them around a good number of hedgerows for a good day’s walk around the 1,000 acre lowland estate in Berwickshire.  We’d hope that you’d shoot a bag of 15-30 (the same day last season achieved 25 birds) which might include pheasant, partridge, pigeon, hares, woodcock.  We recommend lunch in the local pub: The Plough in Leitholm.  If accommodation is needed, then we have 3 holiday cottages sleeping 4 – 6 people: search for Wood Cottage (in photo), Lane Cottage or Bughtrig Cottage on Crabtree and Crabtree’s website.
