Description

Join Playwright, Michael McManus, following the success of his recent works “Maggie and Ted” and “Party Games!”, for a private tour of Arundells, followed by afternoon tea with Michael. Michael worked for Edward Heath in the late 1990s and is now a Trustee of the Sir Edward Heath Charitable Trust, so he is perfectly placed to talk you through the wonders (and recent history) of the house and it’s contents and grounds.

Arundells is one of the finest houses in the Cathedral Close in Salisbury, bringing together six distinct architectural styles. The house was originally a medieval canonry, with the first recorded occupant being Henry of Blunston, Archdeacon of Dorset, who lived here from 1291 until his death in 1316. It was bought in 1985 by former Prime Minister Sir Edward Heath, who extensively renovated the property and lived there until his death in 2005. The house and its contents have been maintained ever since, as a unique resource for the nation.

Ts & Cs: For four people. Travel to and from Arundells is not included. Date and time to be mutually agreed with Michael McManus and redeemed by June 30, 2025
