A children’s party with inspirational space scientist and author Dame Maggie Aderin Pocock.
Maggie is the CEO of Science Innovation Ltd. which she founded here in Guildford in 2004. Here she conducts public engagement activities, and to date she has given talks to over 500,000 people globally.
She is a bafta nominated television presenter, co-hosting the world’s longest-running science program The Sky at Night. She is an author, and her recent children’s book Am I Made of Stardust, launched at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre, won the Royal Society book prize.
A fabulous and unique children’s party – afternoon tea for 10 children (aged 7 or above) at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre with a talk from a space scientist, educator and writer of wonderfully educational and entertaining children’s books.
Ts & Cs: Date for the party to be mutually agreed between Dame Maggie and the prize winner. It cannot be guaranteed to be on a child’s birthday due to filming commitments. Afternoon tea suitable for 10 children (aged 7 and over) supplied by the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre. Signed copy of Am I Made of Stardust for the host child. Prize to be taken before June 30, 2025.
